Great to see people taking their children out to do "interesting" things. Far better that than being stuck in front of a PC or Tele.
I did much the same with my daughter when she was about 7 or 8. Even now she still takes great delight in telling her friends about snow holing :)

I remember taking my eldest son rabbit shooting for the first time when he was about 8. He bagged a rabbit at about 15 yards. head shot and rolled that bunny over good. I had to take a photo of him with his Air rifle and his rabbit. Dont know who was the proudest him or me. He took the photo to school to show all his mates and his teacher. and we had the rabbit in a real nice stew.
At the parents evening we were reading his what I do book and read the story of the hunt and there was the photo of him with his rabbit. His Teacher being a country lass loved it and said she wished there were more Dads like me.
I was well chuffed . He still talks about the times we used to go shooting and camping. I realy think it gives kids a good grounding in life if you get them out into the woods or on the river so they can see what this world has to offer.
Sorry for the ramble
Cheers

You're making me jealous Mrs. Fish! :D I was just telling my wife last night about you and your family (and of course Mr. Fish :o ) and your fantastic camp.
We have twins, a boy and girl who just turned 4 back in June. They love going out on a day-hike with me, so I"m working my way up to getting permission to take them out on their first overnight. I may start small and just do the back yard to begin...
Anyway, I love the example that you're setting for your boys, keep it up!
All the best,
Josh
