What does everyone else use?
My hammock doesn't have a built in mossie net. I've tried rigging up one of those Trek Mates nets but it doesn't really work.
So what do you use for a mossie net on your hammock if it doesn't have an inbuilt one?
Cheers.

My hammock does not need one. It is a large hammock (nomadsland, BcUK group buy one) and has a pocket on the side.. If the biters are about I put some weight (like head torch, knife etc etc) into the pocket and throw the pocket over the top of me so my hammock totally encloses me, with the weight holding down the material.. Works a treat and much easier than faffing about with the netting.

I've been experimenting with one of these..

I got mine from the car boot sale.

I cut the lower waterproof skirt off and made a pair of snake skins for the hammock.

I've added loops to hold sticks, a bit like the DD set-up.

It could do with something to pull the net tighter under the hammock, or maybe sew it on with a zip or velcro tabs.

I considered getting the fox mosquito net to suit the hammock but it's pricey and not fine enough a weave for midges, but not many are.(my DIY one included)

This is probably my next move for a D.I.Y bug net

This company sells midge proof material.
