my friends leave for Africa!

sat here this morning i saw the air fill with my friends the swallows,house martins and sand martins,busily fluttering about the house and lining the telephone line,the air thick with their tweets. I miss them when they go ,i bodes the end of summer and for me the official start of Autumn,itll be a long time till they return,if only they could talk eh!

Wow, amazing shot.. I love them little birds too. Its incredible what they do, and some of them would of only fledged a week or so ago.
Small numbers do overwinter here too, but not many make it if its too cold.

Proper Autumn morning out there today. Clear, chilly and a heavy dew..
