Hi Guys,

I was just reminiscing about a trip I took to NZ a couple of years ago and dug out the photos so I could share them with you. I was truly amazed at the beauty of the place as I travelled around North and South Islands in a little camper van and took the ferry over to Stewart Island for a bit of tramping and hunting for the elusive kiwi (didn't get to see any!).

I know it's the other side of the world, but if you ever get the chance, I'd definitely recommend going there. Anyway, to the photos:

Hi Steve - so it you in that camper van that cut me up on the Coromandel northbound road then...!

I love NZ. Toured north Island for a week a couple of years ago and just completely fell in love with the place, it just fitted like a glove, difficult to explain, just felt right. Pity, because there's no chance I'll ever get to live there...!

As you say, anyone who gets the opportunity to visit NZ should take it, great place.

I love NZ too. Been over there several times over the years even went to school out there when I was 15 (got family out there). Best place in the world is River Mouth , bleak salt marshes on the way from Tauranga to Gisborn. Will see if I can dig my photos out !

Superb, lots of responses! Any of you Kiwi/philes able to explain what the Moeraki boulders (Otago coast) are all about?

I was only on the beach for about half an hour but was blown away by these round spheres.

BTW, Mrs Woodchip - get the photos out. I'm sure we'd all like to see 'em.
