Dara O'Briain doing stand up takes some beating, and for my acting choice its Monty Python hands down. I'd of posted before but didn't know how to spell O'Briain, thanks Andy ;)

Sorry to say, I had my sense of humour surgically removed when I entered management. However, if I remember rightly, I used to really like Peter Cook and Dudley Moore, especially as Derek & Clive. It also goes without saying that Monty Python was a comedy classic.

All time favourites would be Laurel & Hardy. I loved the old time stand ups as well though. Frank Carson, Les Dawson, Stan (I can't remember his last name) from Liverpool who hated the "Geeeermans" plus all the others. Then there was Morcome and Wise and the 2 Ronnies. What about Freddie Starr and Dick Emmery, or Benny Hill and Tony Hancock. Good lord, the list could be endless...................................Monty Python etc etc etc etc

Russell Brand's not a comedian. He's an anaemic stick insect on speed. :)

Went to see Phil Cool a couple of years back, spent a couple of hours roaring with laughter. We met him in the foyer afterwards and really didn't warm to him at all. Strange to see two completely different sides to someone in one night.

The Billy Connelly "Stonefish" routine on YouTube floors me every time I watch it.

Russell Brand is not a stick insect on speed, he's been clean for years. Obviously his intelligent observations are a little too much for some... :)

I don't have a top five, but as more than five comedians who have made me chuckle have already been mentioned, I'll throw in these five comedians, comedy actors/writers into the mix: Spike Milligan, Richard Pryor, Miranda Hart, Robin Williams & Richard Ayoade.

OakAshandThorn

Definitely Robin Williams, also Bill Cosby, Colin Mochrie, and Ryan Stiles.
