Evening All,

Does anyone have any experience with Hanwag boots? Would you recommend them?

Thanks in advance.

Yes and yes.. They are very well made boots. Not cheap though. Always a good idea to go to a good supplier and try a pair on though..

Hanwag boots are very good quality, albeit a bit narrow. If you have wide feet, Meindl may be a better option.

Thanks for the replies fellas.

The reason I am looking at Hanwags is that I have the possibility of trying them on, which I do not have for Altberg, Lunghags, Matterhorn, etc.

The Hanwag Tatra Wide interest me as, yep, I've got wide feet!!

I'm going through my second pair of Hans Wagners (Hanwag). Atm I'm wearing a pair of Hanwag Robins when hunting or hiking. Love them very much and would always be my choice again! I like them aspecially as they are a bit narrower from the footbed in comparison to Meindl or Lowa.

hello Hathor,
Hanwag boots I've tried, great boots, as previous NBC members suggest I
would agree. I would suggest the Scarpa make.
I got my first pair of Scarpa 'Attak' way back late 1980's used in Forces & Civie
Mountaineering/Survival/TGO. I'm sure these Attak boots were discontinued?
I've got size 11 broad fitting feet which the Hanwag boots nip slightly,
where as I found having used knowledge of the Scarpa they suited my purposes.
Just my 2p worth.
