hi all,
well this is pretty specialised and very basic, but can is a great aid if your into airgun shooting! if you have a single shot rifle then getting a quick follow up shot can mean the difference between going home with or without a second rabbit in the bag. pellets pick up fluff and dust whilst in your pocket, and can also easily be damaged. also when your on a Hunter Field Target course, these have the added bonus of telling you how many shots you've taken so far by just counting the empty holes! they're seriously easy to make and all you'll need is:
scrap piece of leather/ scrap piece of rubber/welly boot
shoelace or paracord
a hole punch (3mm i think for .177 and 4.5mm for .22)
a stanley knife
all you do is cut out your piece of leather (6cm x 4cm for 15 .177 pellets) depending on the amount of pellets you want to hold. don't make these too big as they're designed to hang round your neck. punch out your holes, you can score lines with a pencil and put wholes down those if you want them to look neater but i don't really care much for neatness. next cut a slit (or slits if you look at pics below) and thread through the cord, about 2 and a half foot should do. my hole punch broke (exploded) half way through the leather one so i had to use a hammer to punch the attachments in. the green one is wellington boot which i found is much eaiser to make holes in but less durable btw. to push out the pellets you just push the head from behind. these pellet mates only work with diabloe style waisted pellets and slug pellets will not work.
