Nice one :)

No mate, didn't notice that. But then, i only had eyes for flint. Made a few trips too.

Where abouts is it located, as i can remember the area.

does ir 'ring' when tapped? looks like good stuff.

there are two entrances, one at the top of harnham hill, this one is now a small nuclear bunker for the councill staff, takes about 20,but it was contructed just in the entrance of a huge complex similar to corsham, the other entrance is on the far left hand side of the quarry a brick arch with a bricked up entrance, you can only see the top of the arch ,about 4 feet, but it was big enough for vehicles,my dad got in there in the late 60's and saw all manner of gear in there including an ambulance.

Yeah, a lot of it is out of the ground so hasn't been knocked about or cracked by frost. Some really nice rings when you tap a couple of corners together. Thats why its in my cellar rather than outside. The cellar never drops below 15c.

Sounds good, wish i had seen it. I'll look out for it if i ever go there again. :)

Thanks for the invite Fish. I'm 2 hrs from your 20 so it's reasonable striking distance but committed this weekend. Would be interested if you do it again, I take it ground dwellers qualify...
