View Full Version : What can I boil water in

I havent got round to buying a billy can or anything yet (waiting to go to B&M) so i was wondering what i could use to boil water in on a fire, without ruining one of the houses saucepans

decided to go with an old espresso tin just happened to be the right size to fit a baked bean can in.

There were Stainless mugs with fixed handles in poundland the other day but you would need a glove or pot grip to get them off a fire or stove :)

Lovely lots of good ideas I'm in the woods now trying out my can and having a go at Some char cloth all good so far.

5886 finished result sorry forgot to take one whilst using it but used it again today and still works good

I know and to be perfectly honest it worked better than i thought it would, Dorris isnt to happy about having all her coffee in sandwich bags though.

Thrift stores always have well used cheap pots and such for little cost. Can also bring out weightless aluminum cake pans for the time being.

for boiling water you can also take vessels.
