Sorry to hear mate. Toes are a pain in the neck (or foot really), as there's nothing you can do with them. :(

My mother broke her big toe a couple of weeks ago stubbing it against something in the dark. I think she was taking a swing at my dad to get him to stop snoring...
I don't remember her whining (or would you lot say "whinging") as much as you, Fish...:innocent:
Come on, laugh, it releases endorphines or something like that! Alright, just poking a little fun; in all seriousness, take it easy, rest it up, and carve some pretties for the rest of us to gawk at.
Get well!
Josh
cheers mate, ive started carving a chess set!

Having had broken toes and fingers in the past, i'm not sure which is worse. Toe, with the right padding shouldn't cause you too much trouble but step on it wrong and you know about. But a finger often needs strapping up which then restricts movement in another finger as well...
Removing a fair sized chunk of a finger like ian c, thats nasty - I regularly take the tips of my fingers off while cooking thanks to my eyesight, and its a real hassle when I then try and do my desk based day job.
My worst though, was when I had ganglion cysts removed from each hand, and a combination of me bruising very easialy and them messing up the cannula for the general anaesthetic that they had to put into my foot meant I couldn't walk and had totally bandaged hands. And they did the operation about 4 days before xmas...

Fish,my advice is if it still hurts like @@@@ is to soak it in reall cold water then put on some heavy socks. If it is still hurting tomorrow i would get to hospital mate.Paul

If it's real bad they will pin it mate, i know!!! seriously though Fish take it easy mate,it won't heal unless you rest it. Paul
problem is ive got so much to do,got 3 tonne of wood to cut and split, half tonne is allready paid for by a chap so it has to be done! then theres the dogging in the evenings, mrs fish loves it,nowt better than a lamp and the dogs for rabbits.

As they say out here "Eina" my thoughts are with you mate, last week end I dropped a paper shredder on my left big toe and the expletives were many and loud!
I know that as a diabetic like you, any thing related to the toes/feet is compounded by the disease, but as my elders used to say "what are you moaning about, you've got nine others to be going on with"(lol)
well ime gonna milk it as much as i can,......can you put the kettle on luv.....any chance of a sarnie love........

Dang that must suck :(. I don't think I ever busted my toe (though I've snagged them countless times), but my brother once had a 30 lb bucket of cat litter fall on his big toe.

Getting out in the woods sounds like a plan, you'll all enjoy that. Don't forget to take a phone and some paper with you "to practice" LOL
