is there any difference between the the Mora Heavy Duty Companion and the Mora Robust aside from the handle colour??

i like the Spec of the Robust but really dont like the handle colour , and saw the Heavy Duty Companion Specs and seems to be almost the same , even down to the 3.2mm blade thickness (which is what i liked about the robust)

anyone got any info on these 2 ?

any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

According to Mora themselves, it seems the only difference is the HQ Robust has the "twin-sheath" feature, which allows you to "stack" another knife on to the front of the sheath. Having said that, I have seen the HQ Robust for sale without the "twin-sheath" feature....hmmmm

They're both the same list price, and have the same spec (like you say), so they probably are exactly the same knife really. Only thing I can think of, is maybe the tang is a little longer on one, but which one is anyones guess lol.

No worries mate.

Ray Mears Bushcraft sells the HQ Robust in a proper green colour, but they're currently out of stock. Not sure if they will get any more in, as they were the 30th anniversary special.
That's the place I saw the robust being sold without the "twin-sheath" system, so it might just be the heavy duty model really, and they've just changed the name themselves lol.

Thanks Dale. I still have a way to go, to get as good as a lot of the makers out there though :)

Thanks again for the compliment. I've been at it for about 15 months, maybe a little longer. Only really been selling them for about a year though, which isn't that long in the world of bladesmiths.
