Hi one and all,
First off, Mang is the bat from The Jungle Book (don’t believe Walt Disney!)
As a kid I recall watching Eddie McGee on TV as a kid, and loved exploring the beach where I used to live (Skegness...that's why I love Samphire so much I guess!) but latterly, I think Scouting and seeing Uncle Ray’s 5 minute features on the much missed 'Tracks' kick started me.
I think I've taught myself most things I know (but Lord bless the internet as a teacher!). I'm looking forward to organising another Bushcraft base at the Explorer camp Gilwell24 for which I'm making *loads* of pop can stoves as one of the giveaways and I'm on course to have more than the 104 I took last year...http://www.escouts.org.uk/forum/showthread.php?t=14862&highlight=gilwell24
I also started a Bushcraft & Nature social group on the same site.
