Small bag from shoe leather

Hello all.
I posted a photo of a piece of shoe leather I got the other day.
I had never before worked with leather, but, who cares? We learn by experience, don't we?
I decided I'd try to make a small bag to carry tinder, firesteel, compass...

Here's the piece of leather:

And this is what I came up with:

I used the shoulder straps from an old laptop computer case (I hated that one, I'm glad I teared it!), added a cheap carabiner with button compass, and there it is.
