View Full Version : Hammock friendly camp sites
Hi all, can anyone recommend a hammock friendly camp-site in north Wales - Mid Wales that is open all year please?. I have searched on UK camp-site but it is difficult to be sure from the photo's if the camping is really in the woods or just the fields. I don't think you can beat word of mouth or a recommendation from people who have been there. :)
cheers

Hi BJ, Graig Wen the place we are going to in march is open all year and accepts hammocks prices are on their web page http://www.graigwen.co.uk/
they are very accommodating - trying to cater for all comers that's why I chose it for a meet up and they allow open fires, cant be bad:) other than that why not do a stelth camp or do you want to take your family
Cheers Bri
Definitely solo, not enough 3 pin socket for the other half. ;) I might try a stealth camp, I do some walking in some remote bits of Snowdonia. Unless we get some mild weather early on I will probably wait until after the march meet. Then I will also have a good idea about Graigwen.
cheers
