Went for what turned into a 5 mile walk yesterday, I'd never done this particular route before so took the compass and map just in case, but it wasn't really needed.

Just a quick question for all you OS users to see if I'm the only person that would make this particular mistake. I've highlighted the walk in red and something stopped me from being able to complete the route which I couldn't tell from the map. Can you spot it?

The pic has only come up small :confused2: but the start point is BNG 464 113

Was it getting up the embankment and over the dual carriage way?

Yes nz its actually an important part of a gr that often gets forgotten. Anyway still cant get to grips with it on my phone because I cannot see the route.

Nice part of the world Bob I will be in Carlton a couple of times this year as a guest of Cleveland MRT

Yes, the map gives, or at least gave me the impression that the bridleway went under the dual carriageway, it never! It seems the bridleway on the other side comes to an abrupt end and the one I followed just carries on up the fields at the side of the road.

A look on g'earth suggest that there's another track about 190m below this but it turned out to be what looked like a maintenance access for the bridge.
