The sky is getting lighter by the day, and today I saw the sun shine on the under side of the clouds, sp the time is nearing for my purchase of a new sleep system to see me trough all of our 4 seasons.
The corner stone will be a hammock, and I am probably landing on a TW Bivi Hornet Hammock 1,8m wide (http://www.twhammocks.co.uk/Hammocks/Hornet-Hammocks/Hornet-Hammock-Removable-Base).
This combined with a Norwegian brand Sleeping bag : Isbjørn jan Mayen, rated to -40 extreme and -22 comfort.
Will also get a tarp for it, but I will need a good under blanket.
I could make it myself, and have some ideas. But i do not have any old sleeping bags at home that are good enough. So will have to spend about the
same ammount as a DD Snugpak under quilt cost (75£), so I may as well get the snugpak. But DD hammocks are sold out...
Any other sources for it?
Also if go the snugpak route...this is only 1,5 m wide, while the hammock is 1,8 meters wide. Will that be a problem?
