You ask in the end where I'd rather be?
I've spent enough time in rain in the snow in tents not much different than that with a wood stove...that I'd rather be home in a warm, dry bed.
But maybe thats because I did it together with 8-10 smelly lads...
But, if I had to be out there in that...I'd be inside that tent, tucked up inside my jerven bag with a brew on before you could say "feather stick" :-)

No ground sheet or mat? I'd want something to sit or lie on.
Please show us more of your stove. I like stoves. :D
Silly me, I just needed to LOOK:

I'm doing a longer edit of the vid I shot today, including the stove just roaring like a furnace!
It was hot in there in minutes...

"Girl Alone" - know what I mean? :-)

Yup, built a whole raised bed in there. Ultra cozy!

You can cook on it, with some care. Not great huge basins of glop... Or else of course, just pop a light long leg grill over the top of it.

Do you need something on the end of the flue to stop sparks landing on the tent and burning little holes..? I would like a wood burner in my lavvu, but have not put one in because its a lightweight nylon one and I would be scared of burning it.

You can get a spark arrester, but with such a long chimney, and also a damper right near the stove, I have never been worried.
