Hi folks
I realise that this is a bit of a long shot but I'm on the scrounge.

I'm doing a two day bushcraft workshop event with my pal and fellow Natural Bushcraft member Danny Reid I'm aid of Help for Heroes. As part of the show we are doing a section on wildlife and animal recognition.

So I had an idea to have a few skulls around as a teaching aid. So if any of you guys have or come across any skulls over the next 4 weeks or so I would be eternally grateful for them.

Obviously I will cover any postage expenses etc.

Ideally we need deer, fox, badger, rabbit, squirrel and various birds.

In the first instance please drop me a note in this thread if you can help out. It's all for a good cause "Help For Heroes".

on a more positive note will kep my eyes open got a few trips out over the coming weeks pal,great cause aided by a great person, T^

Pm me your address Adrian. I have a badger skull you can have. I have a deer skull too, but its only just been taken off the animal and is hanging up waiting for the maggots.

Thank you again to everybody so far for your offers of help.

The event helped to raise £3500 last year, this year we are doing 2 full days teaching. So we are hoping to raise even more for Help for Heroes.

Wow what a fantastic response thanks to everyone for your help, I can't speak for Ade but I'm rather excited to get all the skulls through the post, in a non sadistic way of course!! 💀

I've looked all over while out with the mutt and have asked the local farmer if he has seen or may have something suitable for you Ade but sadly nothing yet. I'll keep a lookout though.

Will check the woods where we left the vixen I shot last week to see how far off she is from being useful.... will be up on the farm Thursday I think so will let you know, hopefully will be shooting a few rabbits while up there.

Went back up to the farm earlier and the fox needs to be allowed to rot down a bit more, a bit of a mess yet. Will keep checking.

That's pal. Like I said in the original thread, the event is middle of May. So plenty of time for the wildlife to have a munch first.

Ade,, I was down the river this morning with the dog and came upon this skeleton, I took the photo's above on an I-phone. My intention was to send you the skull, when I gently picked it up it disintegrated "very fragile". If you would like the whole skeleton I could go back and try putting it all in a carton and entrust it to the fabulous Royal Mail, though I don't think it would survive the journey. Please feel free to use these images as you see fit, I hope they are of some use to you.

Very kind of you fella but as you say, Royal Mail "Handle With Care" does appear to be a contradiction in terms (in much the same way as "Military Intelligence").
