Norwegian broadcaster NRK, that is our version of the BBC, has made Lars Monsens series "Nordkalotten 365" where he hikes across the northern parts of Finland, Sweden and Norway for a year freely available on bit torrent DRM free. So you get to see the arctic part of Scandinavia and Finland trough the year.

You can use any bit torrent client . If you do not have one NRK promotes the Miro player to download and watch the episodes.
The show is in Norwegian but you can add English text from here.

Text files come as .srt files. Just delete the original .srt file and replace it with the new ones for each episode and your text should be in English.

It is worth it. Lars is one of the best out there!

Just watching episode 3 whilst the others are downloading if anyone wants I can put the completed videos and English subtitles up on my dropbox account for those that don't like bit torrents ?

just watched the last one now and have enjoyed everyone of them, just love his dog (Foss) and boy can that dog pull some weight. very envious of some of the country side he visits and guess this guy really lives the life as he seems to spend most of it outside on his own. will have to look up some more videos of his and to be honest not even worried about the language barrier as its just a pleasure to watch, although its funny to hear so many words that are almost the same as in english really can see the influence of the past on the english language.

Being a complete technophobe I have no idea what a dropbox is, but if it's a way of watching these videos more easily (like you tube) I'd be interested please.

Dropbox is just an online storage but just seem most of the videos are on youtube just search for "Nordkalotten 365"
