I'm off up to Scotland soon with the canoe for a few overnighters on the Lochs and Islands.
If you are not familiar with the region and its wild life, here is one of the best wildlife TV programmes on the subject .

I thought we were going to see images of neds (non-educated delinquents) hanging about street corners and parks drinking Buckfast or Merrydown...

Good documentary though.

Ah, I think you are confusing it with the pondlife found on the western shore of Lomond. Luckily it's nearly been eradicated by the polis and wardens :)

I'll post a trip report when I get back.
