Anyone got one or similar http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0069OYVU6/ref=asc_df_B0069OYVU612067808?smid=A2QODR4IZFO7VH&tag=shoppingmp1073-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22218&creativeASIN=B0069OYVU6, am looking to spend upto £100 or there abouts on a new jacket i want it waterproof, breathable with a waterproof liner this seems to tick alot of boxes, think i prefer a jacket to an over the head smock for easy of use. Any input would be appreciated.

I have, a now, old Miltec Strum Gen 1 ECWCS jacket, without a liner... had it for about 10 years now. It been a very hard wearing jacket, and still going strong. However it has lost much of its waterproofness and no amount of Nikwax seems to restore it. I guess its the material that's delaminated. So I've also been looking at the Helikon.
I have spoken to Military 1st and they seem to agree with you that the Helikon is a better jacket. (Its not lined though, but you can naturally layer with a fleece). I've a couple of pairs of Helikon trousers and they have been very good, so personally I'll probably go with the Helikon on my next purchase.
cheers

How about one of these
Dutch Army DPM Goretex® and Pile lined parka (http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Dutch-Army-DPM-Goretex-and-Pile-lined-parka-jacket-military-surplus-british-/300864515539?_trksid=p5197.m1992&_trkparms=aid%3D111000%26algo%3DREC.CURRENT%26ao%3 D1%26asc%3D14%26meid%3D6192287954222575714%26pid%3 D100015%26prg%3D1006%26rk%3D1%26sd%3D300864515539% 26)
£27.50
7410
It is 50/50 cotton/polyester, but has a Gore-Tex and a pile line and both are removable.
I'm umming and ahhing about getting one myself (would probably dye it if I do as I'm not a fan of DPM, but I digress) might be of interest to you too?

I don't think that you can dye Goretex. I think that there was a post on here recently about it
Yes, there was - http://www.naturalbushcraft.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?5299-Can-you-dye-a-gore-tex-jacket&highlight=Goretex and when I tried it with a hideous red North Face thing I ended up binning it 'cos the dye kept leaching out

I know this is a smock and designed for photography but the stealth gear stuff looks ideal for out and about in the woods with loads of pockets .

Yeah it was me who started that thread, it seems dying Gore-tex is sadly nigh on impossible, but if the coat itself is a cotton/polyester mix, like this one and it has a removable liner that is Gore-tex, then you should be able to dye the jacket, without knackering it.
If I do get one and actually pull my finger out and have a stab at adapting it, I'll post the result and let you know whether it lives on my back or in the bin.
