I just done my annual tax report and the tax man owns me 1400£ :happy-clapping:;):jumping-joy:

I won't get the bundle until june, and I have allready spent 300£ of it on a new kitchen stove...the old one allready had 2 heat elements that did not work and the wife wants a new one...

And then the car needs a new hand brake wire. Thats what I know about before the M.O.T in june...

But there should be some coin left for a some gear. And on top of my list is a new Bergen. My old one is 60 litres, but it's just to small for my bulky kit. And when the family comes it's even more lacking.

So my preferences are:

Must have
Price : No more than 120£
Rugged
80-100 l capacity
Nice and wide main compartment. Many of the modern Bergans are very narrow and I hate that.

Nice if it has
Bottom acess
Detachable side pockets
rain cover included
As light as possible, but rugged trumphs light

bonus if it has
Yokes for detachable side pockets

I've been eying the Snugpak Bergen 100Litre.
Any other canditades I should look at?
UK Millitary models are genrally not available here, and shipping a Bergen is murder...so civillian models, prefarably green or other subdued colors please.
I've seen a miltrad Bergaus Cyclops II clone here that meets the specs, but it's not a good one for carrying heavy loads they say...

Have a look at the Karrimor SF Sabre. A bit pricey but are quality.

Way beyond my budget. But thanks for the suggestion.
