It is not so much for its beauty that the forest makes a claim upon men's hearts, as for that subtle something, that quality of air that emanation from old trees, that so wonderfully changes and renews a weary spirit.

'Wyrd' By Dominic H

Of Words and deeds like pebbles thrown
Into the deep clear lake of time
Their ripples touch our thoughts and hopes
And weave their subtle rhyme

The endless dance of natures’ course
To which we all are bound
Reaches from far amongst the stars
To the rich and fertile ground

Of Energies that steel the soul
And inspire us from the past
To the strength and faith of a warrior’s bond
So stalwart and steadfast

Which way we are led, we can only guess
How life will fare we’re never told
We but struggle and strive as our web is spun
Our link to the Gods of Old
