Hello everyone,
I've been knocking around in the woods for a while now. I enjoy hammocking and lightweight hiking as well as more 'traditional' bushcraft. Looking forward to seeing how you guys do things :).
All the best,
Kit

Indeed it is bud, what a coincidence, both from Hull and both have the Z1 :D
I'm considering getting a hammock/tarp setup though to try on next meet in July.

Ha, small world indeed!
If your in the market for a hammock check out the offerings from Tenth Wonder. I've got the Green Hornet 1.8m wide model and a Sargasso Storm tarp.

I'm looking at various brands at the moment and will do some more research into reviews/opinions soon. I dont mind tents as they're more versatile but like the look of hammocks and been told they are very comfy.

Comfiest nights sleep you can get in the woods IMO. But they do present there own problems (Cold Butt Syndrome :)). Hammock hangings a bit of an art in itself, but worth it!

But surely a decent air mat or underquilt to create cavity would keep arse warm? :)

I use the DIY poncho liner under quilt (the one in 'The Ultimate Hang'), with a thermarest. Might invest in a down one at some point, but lots of ££'s!
PLUQ - Not bad for £20 :)

But it struggles in this!

I have a decent down bag aswell as a thermarest and some thermal layers so hopefully that will be enough, If not I think I'll go the under-quilt option too.
btw, thnx for pix. :)
