This is going to be a gift for a very kind farrier who has given me a few large files, and has got an old gas forge lined up for me!

The leather has been moulded onto the horseshoe, and the holes have been done with a dremel.
More coming soon

it'll be nice to see the finished article, also it is a nice gesture to hand make something for your friend

Finis! The paperweight has been dyed and stitched fully. The only thing left to do is to burnish the edges.

It has a real horseshoe in it! The recipient has given me numerous files, and the promise of one of his old gas forges! So I am very grateful!

That'll be an heirloom one day. It's got that genuine high-quality hand-made look that is hard to find these days. I bet it feels great in your hands. Well done! :happy-clapping:
