I can confirm that we three (M@, Mike & Terry) all have pink tickets now :happy-clapping:

So, what do we fancy eating for dinner on the Saturday evening then?

We could have leg of lamb (again [- needs to be prepared the day before though]). Or, I could pop into Costco en route and get some ribs, burgers, pork belly, Chorizo and no salad. Canopes? Spaghetti Putanesca? Risotto? Curry? Chilli? Meatballs? (but nothing too spicy).

Is there anything that folks can't eat or would rather not eat?

Suggestions welcome.

I'm going to propose a Bushcraft Challenge on this meet.
Bushcraft tasks in a hat, enough for one each of us, we then pick one out, for completion & use during the meet.

Ideas:

Friction fire
(the communal fire must bit started using friction fire only)

Spoon or other utensil
(One that Matt or Mark can use to prepare the meals.)

Trap
(Set a trap using raw materials. No pre-prepared traps. Can be a snare or something a little more exotic. If you get this one and don't have the skill, Ian is allowed to give a lesson)

Bow & Arrow
(Successfully make and fire a bow & arrow from raw material.)

Alternative Fire method
Make a fire using a Dakota Fire Pit, Upside down fire, Swedish fire torch (others?)

Any other ideas for tasks?

Thanks to Mark for a superb meet. I don't know who was in charge of the weather but stunning job!

I regret that I left my camera behind and then found it in my pocket when I got home :ashamed:

I managed to snap Dave on my phone practising energy conservation.

Just remembered a new "recipe" from the meet.

Take a box of Sainsbury's chocolate brownies. Pop one into a mug of brandy (Paul [F0rm4T] will have to give specific timings). Extract and eat.

Simples!
