Just finished an other spoon.did a little bit of work with the Dremal83938394I did a bit more work on this spoon today I thought it looked a bit to bulky,so set to work with the flexy and refined it a bit.90689069I think it looks a lot better.
Top work! Loving the shape, with a useful marlin-spike at the end. :D

nice man, love a bit of spoon making meself but thats rather good compared to mine, i have only been carving for a few months now and got a few bits done few spoons, needles, a wooden knife to teach my 3 year old son knife respect and a fire steel.
i noticed a flex cut knife in your photo, would you mind answering a few questions if you have the time please??
would be much appreciated if you could

do you do alot of the work on your spoons with a knife?
how do you rate the flex cut tool(s) if you have more than the one?
have you ever tried the mora carving knives at all?
also what other tools are you using to make the bowl of the spoon etc

9287I use 2 types of Frost Mora crook knives the flexy andany one of my knives that I make and somtimes my GB axe.9288

Last weekend at the Essex&Kent overnite I showed two of the guys how to use the spoon knives,I also started on a spoon just for fun finish it off in the week.929092919292

I'm sure half of us are only here to set fire to things, in as many different ways as we can lol
nice one thanks for your answers and the pics of the tools nice to see what others are using i might need to rethink my selection of tools as i'm using a small carving gouge and a spoon gouge along with a 106 and 120 mora
