thought you guys might be intrested in seeing my fire lighting kit,i dont usually carry it all with ,me but when meeting up with folk i like to be able to demonstrate or show the different methods and tinders.

theres one more item i havent yet added and thats potassium permanganate and glycerin.

Looks great, sure fire!!

I only carry Birch bark and maya sticks with me and a firesteel which has never failed me :)

Wow, suffice to say you will never be without fire with that lot. Thnx for sharing bud, I'm yet to make my tinder kit so you've given me plenty to look at :)

Nice kit Justin,tell us more about the sulphur matches,never heard of them.

They are mentioned in some of ray mears books, the idea is is to get a quick flame from a bow drill ember or cramp ball. They will not light in the usual way, because they are just dipped in sulphur instead of whatever they dip them in normally!

I would be interested for sure!!

I would love a more natural fire kit but mine mainly has things like magic biscuits and vasoline cotton balls and hex blocks!!
