Nothing particularly Bushy.
But some of you know my boys from the last meet. My eldest got back from an exercise with the Kent ACF over Crowborough training ground this weekend and *at last* had some pictures to share.
He passed his two star and is now eligible for promotion to full screw.

They are both looking forward to seeing everyone again at the next Lads & Dads meet. (especially Ian for more patrol stories and trapping lessons.)
One very proud Dad :)

we wore 1949 pattern battle dress with shirts (hairy) and ties

we issued greatcoats for winter use and very warm they were to. If you were cold in your tent, you just pulled the greatcoat over yourself and you were 'toasty' :)

I was a army cadet many years ago and was issued with shirt kf, putties, 70 patt combat trs, a green canvas smock, and 37 patt webbing with the metal water bottle with the cork anyway I left the cadets then joined up and issued with the same kit apart from the jacket and a set of 58 patt webbing, thankfully the issued kit has improved greatly and there is no need for the blokes to buy things like gortex, bivi bags or Norwegian shirts.
