View Full Version : Quick handle for a tomahawk
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R8bQKvT1AHA
The coldsteel trail hawk is a nice bit of kit, light, cheap, fun to throw, the blade is friction fit easy to slip off and use as a tool ,the back of the hawk is also a hammer, and if you break a handle its easy to make a new one in the field.

I believe there are a few folks on here that use them. I like the idea but require something with a larger poll/butt providing a good contact area on the palm of the hand. What always makes me laugh is that the new handle is made with a tomahawk that already has a handle...

But who says that you can't have two with one needing a new handle?
Seriously though, thanks for posting that, it has reminded me of the need to get my handmade axe head project back on track. Shame the funds are rather limited at the moment though, but it is my birthday soon ;)
No worries, its all in good fun, and hopefully it night inspire someone else to pick up a bit of fallen wood and try something, it costs nothing and brings a smile to your face no matter how ugly it turns out lol
