View Full Version : Hello everyone
Hello to you all;
I am new to bushcraft; though I have always had an interest in nature and wildlife and like to get out amongst it all, it is only recently that I have started trying bushcraft related things. So far I have got my tarp and fairly comfortable setting that up as well as my hammock. Making and sustaining a fire is another thing though, especially if the conditions are damp. Oh, and if anyone can help me with sharpening my knives please get in touch. Not cracked that yet and its getting frustrating now ha ha.
I look forward to speaking to people on here and learning as I go.
Cheers
Ian

Hello and :welcome:!
Cheers everyone. Yes from what little I have read so far it seems a great forum with knowledgeable people. I have looked at a few videos on youtube regarding knife sharpening but I just can't get it. Very frustrating ha ha.

Welcome aboard Ian. As others have said, there is a lot of knowledge here, (and in the Natural Bushcraft YouTube videos).
Knife sharpening and wet weather fire skills can be pretty tricky ones to master. Even the experts can struggle with the fire lighting at times ;)
The key is simply practice and experimentation :) Sometimes it takes a little skill, but a lot of patience.
