After the grey skies of the morning the afternoon turned warm and sunny, and so I went for a wander to the nearby nature reserve and along the seashore.

From a distance it looks as if there is snow yet to melt..

Moon or Dog Daisies.(locally) or Chrysanthemum Leucanthemum if you're really clever..;)

It was blowing about force 5-6 and the breeze carried the fabulous scent of this Hawthorn from a long way away as I approached.

The wind was stripping the blossom from the weather side making a mini snow storm. One side is almost bare.

Further along I heard a man knowledgeably explaining to his lady companion ' Oh! Those are late flowering wild Daffodils'

I think he was a visitor from the town...:D The Yellow Irises grow along the stream banks and each year fortunately they seem to multiply.

Down on the beach the seas seem to queue up, waiting their turn to throw themselves on the shingle and the air is filled with fine spray driven by the strong wind.

Sometimes the sunlight on the sea turns it to liquid silver

Back inland a short distance (no Limpets along there Fish..still looking for you..:)) the local lawn mowers are at work and completely oblivious of passers by..:D

On the way back home to my boat I was thinking..if you were a stranger lost without a compass, but knew the local prevailing wind was South-Westerly, Mother Nature would help you find your way home..

It's just a small local reserve down here in Sussex, not RSPB or major organisation controlled. An agreement between local council and potential land developers I believe..:)

I love being by the coast, could never live anywhere else to be honest. Something about the vast expanse of nothing, the power and beauty...
