Hello all
I am Paul 56 year old retired Mountaineer and General outdoorsman just finishing a 4 year stint in the Middle East (Construction) returning to the UK in mid July. Looking for areas to take my Grandchildren wild camping and start their outdoor education.
Ideally looking for woodland with river or lake as I want to teach them fishing and canoeing as well. We live in Newton Aycliffe the kids are 2 boys aged 10 and 6 and a girl of 4. Grandma will be accompanying us provided I find a way for her to plug the hair dryer in!!!
Would love to meet up with like minded people and share the experience or any suggestions on locations much appreciated.

Hi and welcome, Ex Darlington now living in Stockton on Tees, I used to camp out down the Tees, space for a canoe above the dam and fishing to be had, not exactly wild camping though.
