Hi All,
My name is Rich and I've just joined the forum. My initial reason for joining was to respond to a couple of posts that have mentioned my company, but I'm keen to learn from all of you too.
I've been a mountaineer all of my adult life and love camping, but want to work on some skills that will better equip me for "surviving".
Not becasue I think I'll need to draw on them in a life/death situation; but becasue I'm one of those people that likes to learn new, practical, skills.
I've pretty much mastered how to light a fire (in the dry at least) and have a little leather pocuh that's slowly filling up with birch bark, tumble dryer fluff and King Alfred's cake.
I made a Swedish candle in my garden during the recent heavy snow that hit the UK and after a couple of attempts at making my own hammock from some parachutes, I bought a DD last week and keen to get out and use it.
