had a bit of a night, she was uncomfy so we now need mats of some sort, after she stopped jumping every time the fire embers crackled she started to doze of only to be frightened out of her skin by some foxes barking not far away. eventually we got some sleep and then it was morning
made bacon beans and scrambled eggs (as promised and part of the bargain)on the wood gassifier,a couple of mugs of tea then packed up and headed home. all in all she enoyed it and is up for another one providing well get kipmats.
there were more pics but the site wont seem to let me load them

Nice one mate, I leave the wife at home as she would be the same. Not really worried about her coming out with me, its nice to spend some time on my own.

Good on her! If she is up for another night out then she may beat the fear yet.

As for the photos, only 5 can be directly uploaded to each post. Just post again with the next batch under the same thread title.

Thanks for posting the pictures. Your camp looks nice and your food looks like our first meal on our trip. I glad for you that your wife is up for doing more camping, good for her.

Good on her. The more she does it, the easier it will get.
I got into snorkelling a few years ago. I had never really done it before, but I got me the flippers, mask n breathing hose and went down the lane to the beach. It was like another World under there and I got a bit scared by it all. I kept on thinking some great conger eel would come out from somewhere and grab me. I even got a bit of vertigo when I swam over a very deep channel. Normally I do not mind heights at all.
I went down there again today and I was quite happily swimming through the kelp beds.
Fear of the unknown goes away as you get to know :0)

T^ Breakfast looks great. My other half would need a few 240v sockets and a draught free environment before she would consider camping, but there is a plus side.

Well done and hopefully she might do the cooking next time.
My Mrs would not entertain the idea but will go fishing, shooting, and ferreting with me.

thank you all for the positive comments, she has a big grin when she see's them.
she has come out with the idea of a weekender on the east coast so we can get some beach fishing in as well.
happy days here :happy-clapping:

Glad you both had a good time mate, it looked like great fun.

Now that I hammock camp I have two spare Polish Army sleeping matresses if you are interested. They are no good if you are hiking as they are quite heavy but if travelling not far from the car they are ideal.

They are same as the ones below.

If you are interested I can do both for £20.00 plus postage.

Cheers Neil
