I've made one of these before. Sadly I left it in a hotel and never saw it again. Might have to do another. Or possible use it to make a waist strap for my new back pack project.

Once such belts formed a kind of "Rite of passage" as a young lad first trip to sea, you made your belt to carry your deck knife. It was done seaman fashion but the same method as a Bushcraft or Survival belt these days..:) Here's mine, a bit tatty now, but made when I was a Deck Boy and worn until I left the sea as a Ship's Bosun 14 years later..Kept for old times sake...:D

The knife is an original Green River, sheath canvas and the belt's not paracord, it's 15 fathoms of 3 strand white cotton line. 'Buckle' is a flag halyard toggle...:D
