Anybody ever made one?

I got the stainless cutlery container from my mother in law. I have an idea about how I am going to go about the project, but would apriciate any advice before I start cutting.

This is quite a neat stove used by Wayland from Ravenlore. I think it's similar to what you might be after.

Jakob, hi... Have tried a similar thing to the IKEA cutlery stove and they are fine and do work and you'll find loads of versions on youtube for inspiration.

The problem I see with the IKEA stove is that as it is, it doesn't 'draw' the fire like a chimney effect in the way that a hobo tin can stove would and the reason for this is that its got holes all over.

As well as an IKEA hobo stove, try a tall dog food can stove (approx 1200 gram dog food tin (costs less than a pound in the UK) - here's a picture of one of mine from the summer... Any tall tin can will do, this one was 100mm diameter

Good luck with it...

Here's a how-to link showing one way of modifying it for a wood stove.

Thanks for the answers gentlemen.

I now have a good idea about what I am going to do. I'll post pics. as soon as I have a finished stove.
