catching of crayfish

Hi! I live in Northampton and heard that the Tat with channels there live crayfish! !
In an occasion of difference of crayfish I read! at red a claw big and from below and it is more than red color than native Uk crayfish! I have questions!
1-I in fishing shop was told that the license is unnecessary on catching of crayfish is the truth? ?
2-Whether it is possible to take precisely home and to eat red signal of crayfish? ?
