View Full Version : Pine resin glue question
I noticed a wound in a fir tree while out in the forest today and the white sap has been extruded and had run down the bark and set. I have collected a bit because I have seen it can be rendered down and strained to produced a glue, and the residue is good for fire lighting.

How does this glue compare with modern adhesives or epoxy for strength ?

It was the epoxy of its day...needs mixing with charcoal from the fire to make it less brittle though.....
