Just a quick reminder that it is the perseid meteor shower over the next few days. Peaking tomorrow night but starting tonight. Always worth a watch and one of the more dependable showers of the year.

Woohoo. Cloud has cleared enough to get half an hour of good north eastern view of the sky and at least 4 nice meteor burn ups.

I was trying to watch for the ISS last night on a Western Track around 22:15hrs as well should have been the brightest object in the sky.

hello,
Whoo..Hoo.. clear skies & did it provide dividends. Usual flashes here & there, 11:25pm highlight of the whole skywatch session, a 5 large sized meteor cluster, very slow in track, split, left right & centre. Right 3 near perfect in a line, centre went vertical, the left did a kind of loop U-turn, afterwards just some flickers shooting here & there. Lots of 'awws, wows, etc..' Well worth the wait.

David

Got to see it in my area, though I didn't see as many meteors as I would've liked (downtown light pollution really sucks)...still a worthwhile experience. :)
