Well I did my first two day hike in April >http://www.naturalbushcraft.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?5698-Excited-First-full-2-day-hike
This was a great experience and so planned a longer hike from home to my sister's house at Ashdown Forest, across some beautiful Kent countryside, over three days.
For this and that reason I've not had time to do it until now, but after getting back from holiday last week, it's been calling me. So I start on Monday morning and arrive on Wednesday.
This is the route, most of it national trails so should be decent.
http://www.getamap.ordnancesurveyleisure.co.uk/?key=sRcG0bo9NpN0C1q5xPX0xQ2

I'll be taking the usual kit:
Patrol bag from my MSS kit
DD 3x3
DD Frontline whoopee SS
navi kit
med kit
hygean kit
cook kit
trek poles
fresh/night clothes
Water - I'm not worried about water, there are springs scattered on route.
I'm trying to go as light as possible, so did consider ground dwelling, but I think I'd rather pay the 1kG'ish penalty and swing.

Hiking food
Breakfast: Oatmeal & chocolate fudge cake mix, with some Trail mix (mixed nuts & dried fruit)
Lunch: Tuna pockets with some trail bars and snickers & Trail mix
Dinner: Ramen noodles with some meat stick or some couscous and meat stick, or some instant mash and meat stick, Ha!, something with a bit of meat stick anyway.

Anyway I'll take the usual piccies and vid and stick it up post my return.
Harry is away on Annual camp for two weeks at Oakhampton camp on the north of Dartmoor (lucky bugger). Oh, and he got his full corporal last week, so will be doing some fun stuff I'm sure! Charlie will be at my sisters for a few days from Sunday, leaving me alone with SHMBO ...so I'M OUTA HERE! shhh!

Hope you enjoy the trip mate! Whats in your Hygiene and Cook kit? Prefer to save weight myself so always enjoy looking at other set-ups. Also are you taking a sleeping bag/blanket?

All the best.
