I've been off the air in recent weeks due to getting the house into shape and working out of Walsgrave which is at juntion 2 of the M6 and also at the bottom of the M69. My job is relocating and so will I be. But, Kent's gain is the Midlands' loss  (something like that anyway).
So, hello and welcome to the many new members and sorry for responding to each new post.
I've met some fantastic people via this forum and I'm sure I'll meet many more in the not so distant future.
Yes, I will be back for the South East "Breakfast Club" meets and of course Yalding meets. I also hope to attend some of the other meets that will be nearer my new location. I shall also be scouting for some places to camp near our new home. :o
I'm off Posh-Crafting in the Lakes for a few days with Mrs Ehecatl and then doing some house hunting.
So, exciting times and I can't wait to be back on the forum more regularly in the very near future.
For the moment then, good bye and soon it will be "hello" again.
Cheers for now,
M@

Thanks for all of your kind words. We're currently under offer "STC" and we've made an offer which is again "STC".
Anyway, thought I'd tell you about my weekend. Me and Mrs Ehecatl were invited to Yalding by our neighbour to assist in the celebration of his son's birthday. This was a Poshcrafting affair with spouses otherwise I would have extended the invite.
The weather went from iffy to spectacular! We battled away trying to split unseasoned ash for the fire....

This of course made us hungry and Terry (neighbour and landowner) did a splendid job on the BBQ

All that eating made us thirsty and so we retired to the fire. Every time I felt warm enough, Terry would be colder and would "chuck another door on the fire" - something we were not short of as it happened.

Please note my nice new (second hand) boots. Not bad for £20 and that includes postage!
It wasn't long after this shot was taken when we were raided! Two police cars and no helicopter(s) were upon us! Well, parked at the gate actually. I have never seen an air rifle and some sharps disappear so quickly!
Son of landowner and his mate went to have a word with attending officers but were wearing overalls. As such their explanation did not appear to hold water. They wandered back and said the police thought that we were gypsies down in Kent for a horse fair. Terry, dressed for the woods and being the real land owner went to talk with the officers and was instantly believed. (Possibly because he had the keys to the gate and could let the cars enter so they could turn around)
With that we wondered whether the metal door knobs would survive the fire. Cheese, biscuits and port distracted us and before long we were off to bed.
After a hearty breakfast (full English) Plus1 and me raked through the fire and found the door knobs!
