Finished waterproofing my snow smock and added the final touch with a leather panel
produced by an excellent fellow bushcrafter, Biker-bri.

Was very touched and chuffed when I saw this, and couldn't think of a better place to put it
than on a bit of kit I use every time I'm in the woods for everyone to see.
Many thanks Brian. Hope one day I may achieve some semblance of your leather working skill.

Woodsman.

How did the waxing hold up in the recent weather, is it a worthwhile mod for the SSS? Any problems with the wax rubbing off onto the clothes underneath?

I've not really had chance to test it out in a full downpour. Everytime it's been raining Ive been protected under the trees!!
No problems with wax getting on the clothes underneath, once it's soaked into the cotton it seems to stay there.
Only problems I had were off the Mrs for getting wax on the hairdryer I was using to melt the wax into the cotton. :D
