im a young bushcrafter on a budget and i have to limit my money of things i buy and i wondered if anyone had any comment on the buffalo river skinner knife? heres a link http://www.buffaloriversafes.com/products%20images/knives/BRKM100.gif

Hi don't know much about them knifes. But you cant go wrong with a mora clipper as a first knife have used one and was well surprised as to how good it was http://www.raymears.com/Bushcraft_Product/399-Morakniv-Companion-MG-Clipper-Knife/.Also i think them buffalo river skinner knife is made from 420 stainless steel i might be wrong but i think its scrap, compared to the steel used in the Mora clipper which is a carbon steel that will hold a very sharp edge and easy to sharpen

Stick with the Moras, you will find many folk on here have them and swear by them. Just because they look really cheap, dismiss them at your error! They really are a first class knife.

Even cheaper and equally as good is the hultfors hvk .

I have moral clipper myself excellent blade. I have used this blade for all sorts of jobs from craving to splitting logs
