Hello everyone
i have been deliberating over the svord peasant for a while and have seen mixed reviews
the main problems being the finish of the blade and scales, now i can do the scales but the blade scares me a little
i can sharpen a scandi grind to a good edge but i have very little experience with anything else
I was wandering if anyone knew a good site or a thread that had some advice, or better still this thread
thanks
max hill

Got mine on advice of Ashley and I think it's great. I dismantled mine and sanded it down and resharpened. Then soaked the wood fittings in a jam jar of linseed oil. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/03/09/usygy7e7.jpg

You just can't go wrong with a SVORD,great value, love their "rustic"look, mine has become my EDC,over many more expensive knives!

I made up a sharpener for convex grinds. If you take a block of wood and glue a mouse mat to it, lay sandpaper over the mouse mat it will sharpen a convex edge perfectly. On the other side you could glue a piece of leather to it, then you have a strop too. Stropping is the best way to keep the edge razor sharp.
