Joker Knives

Was in the local surplus store at lunctime and saw they were seller a range of knives by a company called Joker.
They looked quite nice - wooden handled, non-locking, folders. I had a closer look at one and it seemed good quality - nice and tight construction, sharp carbon steel blade.
I could be tempted by one.
Has anyone ever bought one and, if so, what are they like?

I know of one forum user on bcuk had one (think it was Wayland) good reports, seen them in a Benidorm shop couple of years ago, look good, nice shape.

Yep, I've got a Joker non locking folder with an Olive wood handle, carbon blade. They're Spanish made 'working knives' sort of an Iberian Opinel..;) Keeps a very good edge and is a whisker under the max legal blade length. Joker make sheath knives and knives of different quality, right up to expensive...

They certainly are Alex. I'm quite impressed by the good standard of manufacture and finish. No play in the blade pivot and the wooden scales with that little "hook" shape make for a secure grip. That's an Opinel No: 9 alongside for comparison.

Funnily enough, a 'Spanish Opinel' is just what the shop owner called it as well.
I thought it felt beter made than an Opinel, looks much better, and has the advantage of being non-locking. But is about twice the cost of an Opinel.
They had a nice dark wood handled one in there as well.
When I go back in in next week (I ordered some stuff from them) I may treat myself. Thing is, it's a 'want' not a 'need' and I know it'll mostly end up sitting in a draw, which seems a waste of money...

My son has a Joker knife and it's his pride and joy, it holds a nice edge

Have looked at them when in Tamarack Outdoors. For the money, couldn't fault them.

I could really go for one of these horn handled carbon steel bladed 7 cm's.
