Hade a go at carving a wood spirit today,gee the wood was hard,it was a bit of wild cherry I'd had in the shed for10436 about a year.104371043810439My hands and fingers are sore and me knife bit me:happy-clapping:
that's brilliant, it looks a bit like the dwarf in the lord of the rings. T^

Looks great Tony, your a brave man using seasoned cherry, the end result is worth it though:)

Thanks guys,it was hard work.I'll ave to try and get some of that wood the yanks use Bolsome I think it is.
nice one tony, cherry is lovely, if your fingers hurt now try it with some oak, if you want your pieces to stay nice for a long time use seasoned woods, i find green woods are unpredictable
lovely job wood spirits are awesome

Really good work Tony, the trouble with knives is no one ever told them not to bite the hand that made them.
