I am looking for WWII style British military clasp knives, preferably WWII dated. I am interested in both the army (top) and navy (bottom) versions:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3814440/WWIIBritKnife02.jpg
Army version w. no spike

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3814440/WWIIBritKnife01.jpg
Navy/Royal Marines w. spike

I know that these are available online and on eBay, but the prices are utterly ridiculous! I know that these are to be found at fleamarkets, estate sales and car booth sales in the UK for much more reasonable prices.

I will pay or trade for gear. Price depending on condition. I am only interested in knives w. complete tools and intact scales.

If anyone can find me an airborne/commando jack knife as well, I will pay handsomly for it:

https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/3814440/WWIIBritKnife03.jpg

The knives will be sold or passed on the members of my WWII re-enactment group, with no profit on my side.

I am also looking for a WWII dated MK III "Turtle" helmet - if the price is right.

I am also interested in the odd Fairbairn Sykes dagger - again; if the price is right :)

The 1944 pattern British KFS. I suspect some of you may actually have some of these in your outdoors kit :)

Incomplete sets are welcome too.

Hi Jeep
There was a navy one in my local antique shop today They wanted £15 for it, which I thought was over priced,

Didn't handle it.Was in a glass cabinet, the ticket stated 1945.

Ok, thanks.

£15 isn't too bad if the condition is fair.

Here's a pic of the knife Jacob, Not the best, taken through the glass.
I've just realised, there may be a Army one behind it, for £6.
What do you think!

Hi,

Not sure if it's any use to you, but I have an old Army pattern one, well used (has seen a lot of sharpening), and missing the lanyard loop at the back. No date anywhere on it :)
You're welcome to it if you want it buddy.

Been looking for other items that can be included with your knife, before I send it over. Seems a waste to just sent a small pocket knife over :)

hello,
Peaks this is true BTW. My mate (Veteran) former Royal Navy, Royal Marine Combat Engineers, & Royal Engineers (Suez, Aden, Radfan, Cyprus) he confirmed this as I was showing he my two Jack Knives (old & new) he also stated he made a lanyard for such as part of his training, & utilised such as a Sapper. He still has the lanyard at home.
Regards
David

Dagger, Jacks as pictured above are still being manufactured in the UK to one of the wartime patterns and are pleasantly inexpensive - Get 'em here: http://www.tradesmanschoice.com/catalog/A_Wright_Son/80_BEX.html (no affiliation, but have purchased twice)

"For what its worth"I was issued with the model you describe,as "NAVY" in 1957,One of the last "virgin Soldiers",I was in the Royal Army Service Corp,(Driver)It was made by J ? HOLLAND,SHEFFIELD.and dated 1939 on the opener.Arrow on the Marlin spike..Perhaps as we were the last National Service Conscripts, they were issueing/using up "old stock"????Still got it,never used it,as I had my own pocket knife.
