Tomorrow im going to get a peice of wood and carve either a spoon or cup.
Only downside is I only have an axe a penang and a mora knife and no specific tools for carving the bowl.
But I do have fire and charcoal.
So would it work to burn the bowl out with charcoal if I keep blowing on it or would I be wasting my time.

It will work if you have the time. I imagine that it will be somewhat rewarding when done.

Oh time is what I have plenty of lol.
Think I will try the burning stage first before spending alot of time csrving only to ruin it by not burning correctly.
Will post pictures as I got tomoz

Hi Mat, I have used a coal from the campfire to help make the bowl in a large spoon, it was air dried chestnut and a pig to carve. So it is do-able, takes time and a fair bit of puff.
Clean up is easier with a spoon knife or small carving gouge but a piece of metal ground to a rounded shape will make a good scraper to aid clean up.
Look forward to the pics.
Rob.
