Do you stick some sort of weight in the inside of the crab pot along with bait.

Do you stick some sort of weight in the inside of the crab pot along with bait. Yes mate you can do, I placed the pot out at low tide in between some big rocks placed some smaller rocks inside the pot, and a few in front baited it up and left it for a complete tide, came back on low tide bait gone NOTHING :confused2: Think what I should have done is to put the bait in some sort of sack like an onion bag, so as they could not take the whole bait, just eating little bits of it which would have kept them there.

ITS A LEARNING CURVE but I did catch a bass on the same tide that was tea ;-)

If you place your bait in a small tuperware container with some holes drilled in it and secure it so it cannot be dragged out it will stop your bait from being robbed by the crabs.
